Luke Left The Studio is a developing creative practice moving between woodworking, printmaking, moving image, sound, digital systems and artist-led collaboration.
Projects often begin with tools, materials or practical processes, and develop through translation, disruption and movement between physical and digital forms.

An evolving body of research exploring what happens when the gestures, tools and material logic of making become signals that can alter moving image, sound and shared environments.
Bespoke timber interfaces could translate actions such as planing, turning, pressing and sliding into digital signals. Individual actions might affect other parts of an installation, alter another person's experience and collectively reshape the behaviour of the system.
Before Luke Left The Studio, Luke co-ran Left Leg Gallery, a nomadic artist-led project producing exhibitions, cassette releases, zines and collaborative events.
Left Leg Gallery's output has included a cassette-based exhibition that toured UK venues, audio releases, and collaborative print and zine work.
Luke Mullen is an artist based in North East England. His practice has developed through artist-led exhibitions, collaborative situations, moving image, participation and physical making. He previously directed Left Leg Gallery, a nomadic artist-led project producing exhibitions, performances and collaborative projects.
